Cambridge Highland Games now in its 35^th year, takes place in the picturesque City of Cambridge, Ontario located on the banks of the Grand River.  The Highland Games are a mid July tradition and welcome visitors and participants from across the globe. The Cambridge Highland Games are hosted annually by a group of volunteers that work year round on this 2 day event. Join us on Friday July 16th at our “Scottish Pub Nite Ceilidh” this is a fun event and a great way to kick of our Highland Games weekend.

While attending the Cambridge Highland Games visitors can enjoy watching the heavy events, tug of war, tossing the caber, highland dance, piping and drumming competition and watch in awe as 30 plus massed bands march down center field. Some may be ambitious enough to take part in our kilted road race.

With many other events taking place in the park on games day there is no lack of finding something to capture your interest. Stroll down our Avenue of Clans, or stop into the beer tent and enjoy a cold one. We have many vendors selling both traditional Scottish wares, and traditional Scottish food (Haggis Pies, pie & peas, fish & chips, shortbread…ooooooh so good!). Sheep dog and agility dog demonstrations are ongoing during the day.  The children’s area is a great place to bring the little ones, they can play mini golf or play in the bouncy castle or join in the Children’s Highland Games.
